Tim Conrad (PAUL RUDD) is dangerously close to having it all. He’s a bright and good-looking guy, on the verge of asking his beautiful, long-time girlfriend, Julie (STEPHANIE SZOSTAK), to marry him. His boss Lance Fender (BRUCE GREENWOOD), hosts a monthly dinner in which each collogue is asked to bring an ‘extraordinary guest’. In short, Fender asks them to bring an idiot to dinner. Though he declines the invitation at first, Tim changes his mind when he meets Barry (STEVE CARELL), a man who builds dioramas using stuffed mice. But the scheme backfires when Barry's blundering good intentions send Tim's life into a downward spiral, threatening a major business deal and possibly Tim’s engagement in this hysterical comedy from director JAY ROACH (“Meet the Parents” and “Meet the Fockers”).
